About The Roosevelt Inn
The Roosevelt Inn is an small, family owned and operated hotel. All guest rooms have private baths, heat and air conditioning, satellite TV, direct-dial phones, hair dryers and coffee makers. Most of our rooms also have queen- or king-sized beds, refrigerators and DVD players. Finally, we have facilities such as a pool, a hot tub, a family recreation room and a guest laundry.We
endeavor to retain the character that only a
family-run hotel can offer. Thus, we're not a mega-hotel, a resort or
even a motor lodge. If your idea of a vacation is lazily lounging
around hotel facilities, please look for a place that caters more to
that type of guest. We're not for you. Our guests are the people who
like to get out and do stuff. On the other hand, we're not a quaint
country inn, a place off in the woods or a historical hotel either.
(One definition of "historical" is a old building with small rooms and
bad plumbing.)We are located in the town of Keystone, a tourist oriented town right at the base of Mt. Rushmore. Keystone has been described as quaint, cute, tacky, expensive, inexpensive and any number of other adjectives. ... well, if you need a rubber tomahawk, you can find it in Keystone. Some people come for the touristy ambiance. Others don't mind it. And, some hate it. You should at least expect it.

Footnote: Our swiming pool is not operated in Winter, the months of November through March. The hot tub and other facilites are operated all year.
