Recreational Facilities

     The Roosevelt Inn is packed with recreational facilities and you won't have to fight a crowd to use any of them.
      Swiming Pool: Our most used facility, of course, is the unique heated indoor pool that's located on the second-floor. The pool also has an outdoor sun deck that provides a pleasant and private poolside setting for relaxing after a day of sightseeing or activities in the Black Hills. The sun deck has great views of the surrounding hilltops. The pool itself is small but we find that parents tend to prefer a smaller pool. The water is heated to about 82 degrees. (Note: The pool is closed between October 10 and April 30.)
     Hot Tub: At the pool entrance is our year-round spa. This is where our six-passenger hot tub is located. The hot tub is operated all year.
     Family Recreation Center: The Roosevelt Inn's family recreation room on the second floor is not to be confused with a standard motel game room. This large recreation room is designed to let families enjoy some quality time together. Our recreation room includes the following:

Full-sized slate pool table
A professional grade foosball set
A 53-inch Sony high-definition TV with stereo sound
DVD Player (bring your own DVDs)
Card and board game table
Lounge and reading area
Coin-operated game machines

Our idea is to help families do things together, whether it's a foursome at bridge, the kids beating dad at pool or foosball, or the whole family sitting down to watch a recently released high-definition movie on the extra-large home theater screen. Whatever your pleasure, you'll enjoy this facility.

Of course, no matter how much fun you have in the hotel, even more recreational opportunities abound in the surrounding hills and forests -- whether it's hiking to the top of majestic Harney Peak, taking a trail ride on horseback or simply picnicking beside a cool mountain stream. There's much here for you and your famiily to enjoy.
