Places Enroute To the Black Hills
The following list shows various cities or towns
within
easy to moderate driving distances to Keystone and the Black Hills.
Generally
these are places between 200 and 500 miles away where travelers enroute
from greater distances may wish to stay overnight.
These cities and towns have ample facilities for
travelers, including motels, restaurants and automotive service
stations.
Most have local attractions that may be worth a visit as well.
The distances shown are by the routes indicated
which may not be the best choices for all travelers. For instance, the
route used to calculate the distance from Lincoln, Neb., goes through
Omaha
to maximize distance over the Interstate Highway system (I29 and I90).
A shorter route would be through Grand Island following Nebraska State
Highway 2 to Alliance then US385 North. This route follows secondary
highways
most of the way, however, and might not be everyone's first choice.
