This map shows the approximately 70 miles of the Peter Norbeck
Scenic Byway. The route can be joined at any point, however we
recommend a starting point at the junction of US16A and SD244 about a
mile west of the Roosevelt Inn. This will take you up and over Iron
Mountain, through the northern part of Custer State Park and up through
the Needles Highway. Travel time is about two hours, but you should
allow extra time for stops along the route.
