A highlight of the
Dahl Fine Arts Museum is the nation's only mural
of United States history painted by Bernard
Preston Thomas. This
180-foot
oil-on-canvas spans 200 years of US history. Also
see the Dakota Art
Gallery
and the Central Gallery. The Dahl also hosts temporary exhibitions by local artists and traveling exhibitions and has a full schedule of cultural events including music and work by local filmmakers. Visitors may also have the opportunity to watch works in progress by regional artists.
