| Description: | This is one of the oldest
tourist attractions in the Black Hills, dating
from 1929. Today this 25-acre forest of petrified trees is home to an RV campground and restaurant as well as the trails through the forest of stone. Tours are conducted every 20 minutes in the summer. The site also constitutes numerous other exhibits of fossils, rocks and minerals and gift shop with rock jewelry, rakku pottery and stone crafts.
