This is the only
place in the Hills where you can get an idea of what a modern
underground gold mine is like. (The Homestake mine is now closed.)
Exhibits feature life-sized models of various gold-mining operations. The museum was established by former miners at the Homestake Gold Mine and includes a great deal of detailed information about gold mining as well as a nice collection of artifacts and memorbilia..
