| Description: |
We'd say that having some Black Hills Gold is one of those "must
have" souviners from any trip to the Black Hills. This multi-colored gold
jewelery can be had for as little as a few dollars or as much as many thousands
of dollars. There are seven major manufacturers of Black Hills gold and
their goods can be purchased from retailers just about everwhere in South
Dakota. We don't make any recommendations about Black Hills gold because
everyone has his or her own taste and budget when it comes to jewelery.
So we say if you see something you like and it fits your budget, buy it.
A couple of hints though: If you do see something you like and the price
seems fairly close to what you want to pay, haggle a bit. But keep in mind
that retailers' margins on Black Hills gold are usually small so don't
expect any big price reductions. Also, if you see a piece you like, don't
expect to find the same piece at a lower price anywhere else. Designs and
stocks change frequently so you may be looking at a one-of-a-kind item.
Black Hills gold is typically sold at 50 percent or more off of retail,
which may be true but not much is sold at retail. |
