Deer Mountain
claims to have the best beginner hill in the Black Hills with an open
bowl and gentle pitch.
Several runs are lighted for night skiing on Fridays and Saturdays. The
area has a total of forty-four downhill and cross-country trails. The
mountain summit is at 6,850 feet. Several slopes are open to
snow-boarders. Deer Mountain also has the RoughRider Tubing Park, with
lift serviced tubing runs and tub rentals for non-skiers.
