Golf Courses

Although there is no golf course right in Keystone, there are several within a short driving distance. One of the best is Meadowbrook Golf Course on Jackson Boulevard in Rapid City. This course is rated among the top 50 in the United States and it's open to the public. Hart Ranch, just off of Highway 16, about 12 miles from Keystone also has an excellent golf course.      Most courses in the Black Hills are nestled within pine forests or on meadows near running streams. Several have views that are ... well, distracting. The golfing season runs from March to December at the lower elevations and some courses close only when there's snow on the ground. Not all courses listed are open to the general public, but most are, though greens fees may be higher for non-members. You are advised to call ahead to the numbers listed to reserve tee times.      Of course, you can also queue up at Pirates Cove miniature golf course in Rapid City or the Holy Terror Mini Golf in Keystone anytime without a reservation.            Here's a list of some of the public courses in the Black Hills.
